Writing a Character-Driven Video to Delight Audiences With a Social Surprise

Assignment: Sesame Workshop needed support writing content calendars for Sesame Street and Elmo’s social accounts.  

Solution: Our team leveraged social best practices and relevant moments, like April Fools’ Day, to create standout video content that tapped into larger social conversations. Our organic April Fools’ Day video earned 99,984 views across Elmo’s social channels.

My Contribution:

  • Concepted the video idea, built the strategy, and presented to the VP of Audience Development

  • Wrote the script for Elmo to speak, honoring Elmo’s singular voice

  • Reported on social sentiment, analyzed KPIs, and distilled learnings
